- Rated a whopping 4.9 since 2022!
- Images of your waste transported to recycling station sent to you.
That’s the Wasteroo assurance.
Hi a message from me, Adam Batue, I own, operate and conduct most collections myself or with a small team. Starting as Pick My Old Bed, expanding into Wasteroo providing a reliable service priced right and earning the trust from valued domestic and business customers seeking a trusted, reliable service.
For added reassurance I document the waste collection through to its final recycling destination. For large rubbish collections the images are sent on the day of collection: from collection direct to the recycling centre or waste transfer station.
For all other collections the waste is stored and transported to its relevant recycling centre and videos are uploaded on Wasteroo’s socials. I am always happy to show your waste item specifically in any given video upon your request.
I’d appreciate if you can familiarise the terms of service. I’ve located the most requested information at the beginning and made everything really clear as failure of these terms will unfortunately render a collection invalid and non refundable.
Please read through.
Any items such as mattresses / sofas etc that are extremely soiled may be rejected, please send an image before booking.
Kerbside collection:
This is the best value option for some heavy items. A kerbside collection must be no more than 2 meters away from the kerbside ready for collection.
Options to collect from indoors with a single or two person team for heavy items are at an extra cost and described next to relevant products.
Some basic logistics, on the day of your collection:
If you’ve opted to leave your items outside, no need to be home, I’ll send a message of completion.
Collection times are 9am to 7pm but occasionally during busy days this would be extended to 11pm.
I never let anyone down and always update if I’m late (please ensure your availability is flexible as I can’t reschedule or refund for delays on the day).
Items left outside for collection:
-All non permeable items that can’t get wet (fridges / leather sofas etc) can be left outside for collection.
-All permeable items (carpets/ mattresses etc) must be plastic wrapped (unless stated otherwise).
-I do provide the option to leave items outside as an added extra during booking as these are handled and treated as potentially wet collection itmes.
Items placed on the ground floor:
If you have selected your items to be collected from the ground floor / indoors, please ensure all items are placed on the ground floor.
Dismantling:
All types of all metal, wooden, zip link and divan beds / headboards or any type of bed / headboard, wardrobe, cabinets etc or fitted fixtures that require dismantling or detached from their fixtures must be dismantled, freestanding and ready for collection unless a dismantling service has been selected.
48 hours notice required to cancel or re-schedule:
If you need to re-schedule for another day or have to cancel, an email 48 hours before the day of collection is required so a full refund can be given. Please be mindful of this relating to same day and next day bookings as there is no scope to cancel due to the short time duration between your booking and the commitment of your booking.
Loss or damage to property:
No liability is facilitated for any loss or damage to any property or possessions during any collection from indoors or outdoors.
Below details further elaboration on terms of service.
The whole of the agreement between our valued customers and Wasteroo shall be set out in these terms and conditions to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions.
Where there’s scope for us to provide a quote for our services without initial inspection of your premises where our service is to be conducted, a contract shall be initiated between us on your acceptance of our quote, whether by telephone or email or otherwise.
If during the process of your collection there is a deviance from the initial description we received by you and the actual reality of your collection, we can either fulfil the initial agreed collection if this is still available to collect, if the initial collection is not available no refund can be offered. If there is scope for us to alter the quote and provide a new quote we will do this dependant on potential of manpower and vehicle space.
Facilitation of Services:
Our team cannot accept any collection where there is any indication of the following:
Asbestos
Hazardous materials
Intoxication related paraphernalia
Any other type of dangerous materials
In such circumstances our team will abort the collection and no refund can be offered.
If there’s any of the above that was not visible to the team during collection and became apparent post collection, the appropriate cost for its disposal will be forwarded to you.
Pricing protocols:
For domestic customers all pricing is transparent during your booking.
For account holders all invoices must be paid within 14 calendar days of the date of the invoice.
New accounts will be subject to relevant credit checks to which the new account status and credit will be dependent upon.
All rights are reserved on the status of any account in relation to its scope of credit with us to which we will provide 7 calendar days’ notice of any alteration or closure.
Scope of liability:
Wasteroo will accept no liability for the implied legality of any service conducted. No opinion or suggestive advice provided by any Wasteroo staff should be dependent in the assessment of legal compliance. By conducting any service guided by a customer we do not offer any warranty of legality of the service. The customer will ensure any guidance given to us are lawful to indemnify us against any losses or liabilities that arise from dispute of property or any other legal dispute.
This clause does not exclude or limit in any way our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any breach of the obligations implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
Subject to the preceding, under no such circumstances whatsoever shall we be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising under or in connection with the contract; and (b) our total liability to you in respect of all other losses arising under or in connection with the contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed the price of our services under the contract in question.
Circumstances that impede our service:
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-occurrence, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes, in particular (without limitation), the following (a) civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war; (b) fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster; (c) impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport; (d) impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
Our obligations under these Terms are suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will extend the time to perform these obligations for the duration of that period. We will take reasonable steps to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under these Terms can be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
Transfer of contract:
You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to another party without written consent to us, which we will not withhold unreasonably. We can transfer all or any of our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights under these Terms.
